Both as a performer and a writer, Nat is known for his unique ability to draw the listener into the music. His style can be likened to that of Immanuel Wilkins’ flexibility, joined with a deep language coming from the jazz of Parker, Adderley, and Coltrane. He’s currently celebrating the release Squared, his latest Nat² album.
As a recent graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, he is taking the UK jazz scene by storm, having performed at prestigious jazz festivals including Cheltenham, London, and Birmingham. He has also taken to the international stage, travelling abroad to perform at the LAVA Jazz Festival (Portugal), the Velo Swing Festival (Germany), as well as a bespoke performance at the Eastman School of Music (New York).
As an arranger, Nat has recently been commissioned by the CBSO to arrange for their collaboration with Punch Records: LEGACY. The project sees prestigious Midlands based grime artists join the 90-piece orchestra for a never-before-seen musical experience. The project premiered at Birmingham Symphony Hall on the 12th of April 2025.
As an educator, he has spent years refining his bespoke approach to one-to-one tuition, priding himself on his ability to engage his students and create a fun and motivating learning environment. Nat is also experienced in leading group workshops, having spent 3 years mentoring the Wiltshire Jazz Academy. Many of his students have gone on to attend music college and begin their own musical careers.
