In 2024, the newly formed trio set out to explore a fresh style of playing. Within a six-month period, they collaborated on a dozen original tunes, becoming so intimate with them that they transcend typical jazz form and harmony. They seamlessly and impulsively move between different sonic spaces, telling a story with each composition.
In early 2025, the trio recorded seven of these tunes, producing an album with a sound encapsulating both the Birmingham free jazz and London contemporary scenes.
With the three of them playing as interactively as ever, they're excited to introduce more people to Squared with their current UK tour!
